NHS Quality Improvement Scotland is recruiting volunteers to serve as Public Partners with the organisation. The role of Public Partners contributes to the effectiveness of NHS QIS as the Board which oversees healthcare improvement across Scotland.
Voluntary Health Scotland has participated directly in the work of QIS and SIGN (the Scottish Inter-Collegiate Guidelines Network, which is located within QIS) and has worked with a number of its Public Partners, who clearly find the work of QIS and SIGN very rewarding. VHS also believes that it would be good to see a wider range of people recruited to the complement of Public Partners, especially people from seldom heard groups and from voluntary organisations which represent them.
QIS has sent out an application pack http://www.nhshealthquality.org/nhsqis/2136.140.343.html - Unfortunately, the timescale is very short, and QIS would like completed packs to be received by the 8th March 2010.
We hope that you will be able to take advantage of this interesting and rewarding opportunity.
