Around 400 Scottish third sector organisations will benefit from a project designed to help them become more competitive and win extra business with public sector organisation. A consortium led by Community Enterprise in Strathclyde (CEiS) and the Supplier Development Programme (SDP) will provide a range of training courses for organisation across Scotland with varying levels of experience at no cost to participants.
The training will help third sector organisations:
· identify their current knowledge, skills and experience;
· better understand the commissioning, procurement and contracting issues;
· learn about most recent and upcoming developments;
· gain insight into local public procurement arrangements;
· engage in joint service design and delivering social and community benefits;
· understand respective markets and cost services;
· responding to contract/sub-contracting opportunities.
